About the TU Delft CTF Team
The TU Delft CTF Team is the Capture the Flag student team of TU Delft, hosted by the EEMCS Cybersecurity group. We are a group of students passionate about cybersecurity, reverse engineering, and hacking.
We meet every tuesday evening to work on challenges, present solutions to each other, and learn more about cybersecurity. We also participate in Capture the Flag competitions, where we solve challenges to earn points and compete against other teams. Every year, we also organise the TU Delft CTF, our own beginner-friendly hacking competition.
If you are interested in joining us, feel free to join our Discord server. We welcome everyone, regardless of experience. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hacker, you are welcome to join us and learn more about cybersecurity. We don't have any "membership" or "application" process, so you can just join us on Discord and start participating in our meetings and activities.

TU Delft's yearly beginner-friendly hacking competition
Every year, the TU Delft CTF Team organises its own beginner-friendly hacking competition. The competition is open to everyone, regardless of experience. The goal of the competition is to introduce people to cybersecurity and hacking, and to provide a fun and engaging way to learn more about these topics.
With 200 participants, TU Delft CTF 2024 became the biggest beginner-friendly cybersecurity competition in the Netherlands.
In November 2025, TU Delft CTF 2025 set an even higher record, hosting 350 participants. In 2026, we aim to accomodate even more hackers.
The competition is played in teams of 4, and consists of a series of challenges that test the participants' skills in various areas of cybersecurity, such as web security, cryptography, reverse engineering, and more. The challenges are designed to be accessible to beginners, but also provide a challenge for more experienced participants.
